Liability Waiver & Event Terms

ASSUMPTION OF RISK, WAIVER, AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY

By signing below or electronically agreeing to this waiver, I acknowledge that my participation in the Skate & Scale Hockey Game (the "Event") involves certain inherent risks, including but not limited to personal injury, collisions, falls, equipment failure, and other potential hazards associated with playing ice hockey. I voluntarily assume all such risks.

1. Acknowledgment of Risk
I understand and acknowledge that:

• Ice hockey is a physically demanding sport with inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to bruises, sprains, fractures, concussions, and other serious injuries.

• The organizers, sponsors, volunteers, and venue operators do not provide medical insurance or coverage for participants.

• I am solely responsible for my own safety and well-being before, during, and after the event.
   

2. Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I hereby release, waive, and discharge the event organizers, sponsors, volunteers, referees, facility owners, and any associated entities (collectively, "Released Parties") from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, or injuries arising from my participation in the Event, including those caused by negligence of the Released Parties.

3. Indemnification
I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liabilities, claims, damages, and costs (including legal fees) arising from my participation in the Event.

4. Medical Authorization  
I authorize the Event organizers and medical personnel to provide emergency medical care if necessary. I understand that I am responsible for all medical expenses incurred due to any injury.

5. Code of Conduct
I agree to:

• Play responsibly and respect all participants, referees, and organizers.

• Wear appropriate safety equipment, including a helmet and protective gear.

• Abstain from aggressive behavior, excessive roughness, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
   

6. Photography & Media Release
I grant permission for my image, likeness, and name to be used in event-related photography, video, or media publications without compensation.

7. Ticket Policy
I acknowledge that tickets for the Event are **non-refundable and non-transferable**. While the organizers will do their best to accommodate requests, there are no guarantees.

8. Acknowledgment and Agreement
I have read and fully understand this Liability Waiver & Event Terms. By checking the box on the registration form, I agree to be legally bound by its terms.
